INTRODUCTION, PURPOSE & SCOPE
1.1 Introduction
This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) sets out the general rules governing cancellation and refund matters relating to paid services offered through the FinDeals Platform.
1.2 Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to provide Users with clear information regarding their rights and responsibilities in relation to eligible payments, cancellations, and refunds.
1.3 Scope
This Policy applies to payments made by Users for paid services offered by FinDeals through its authorized payment channels.
1.4 Current Paid Service
At the time this Policy is published, the paid service covered by this Policy is the Post Highlight Service.
No other paid service is covered by this Policy unless it is expressly introduced by FinDeals and the relevant terms are updated accordingly.
1.5 Relationship With Other Policies
This Policy should be read together with the FinDeals Terms & Conditions and FinDeals Privacy Policy.
1.6 Applicable Law
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any mandatory right or remedy available to a User under applicable law.
1.7 Policy Updates
FinDeals may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its services, payment processes, operational practices, or applicable law.
1.8 Acceptance
By purchasing a paid service covered by this Policy, the User acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review this Policy and agree to the applicable provisions.
POST HIGHLIGHT SERVICE & PAYMENT
2.1 Post Highlight Service
FinDeals may offer an optional Post Highlight Service that allows a User to increase the visibility of an eligible financial requirement listing.
The Post Highlight Service is a promotional visibility feature only. It does not change the nature of the underlying listing or create any guarantee of a financial transaction.
2.2 Purpose of Post Highlight
A highlighted listing may receive increased visibility within the geographic area selected by the User.
Post Highlight does not guarantee:
- A loan;
- Funding;
- A lender;
- A borrower;
- Enquiries;
- Responses;
- A particular number of views; or
- Any financial outcome.
The previous Terms similarly describe Premium Highlight as a visibility-enhancement feature without guaranteeing enquiries, responses, or financial outcomes.
2.3 Highlight Options and Pricing
The current Post Highlight options are:
| Geographic Reach | Price |
|---|---|
| 5 km | ₹199 |
| 15 km | ₹299 |
| 25 km | ₹399 |
| 50 km | ₹499 |
The applicable price and geographic reach will be displayed to the User before payment.
2.4 One-Time Payment
Post Highlight is purchased through a one-time payment for the selected Highlight option.
There is currently:
- No Membership fee;
- No Subscription fee;
- No recurring billing;
- No Credit purchase;
- No Wallet balance; and
- No Contact Unlock payment
associated with the Post Highlight Service.
2.5 Payment Processing
Payments may be processed through an authorized third-party payment gateway or payment service provider.
A Post Highlight becomes eligible for activation only after the payment has been successfully confirmed by the applicable payment system and the Platform.
The previous payment provisions similarly distinguish payment initiation from successful payment confirmation and service activation.
2.6 Failed or Unsuccessful Payments
If a payment fails, is declined, or is not successfully confirmed:
- The Post Highlight will normally not be activated;
- The User should not assume that the Highlight has been purchased; and
- Any reversal or release of a pending amount may depend on the payment gateway, issuing bank, or payment provider.
2.7 Pending Payments
A payment may occasionally remain pending while confirmation is being received from the payment provider.
During a pending transaction, the Post Highlight may not be activated until successful payment confirmation is received.
Users should avoid making repeated payments for the same Highlight while an earlier transaction is still pending.
2.8 Duplicate Payments
If the same Post Highlight is accidentally paid for more than once due to a technical or payment-processing issue, FinDeals may verify the transactions and handle the duplicate amount in accordance with Chapter 4 — Refund Policy.
Users may be required to provide transaction details reasonably necessary to verify a duplicate payment.
2.9 Payment Confirmation
Following a successfully completed payment, FinDeals or its payment provider may provide a transaction confirmation, receipt, or other payment-related record.
Users should retain the transaction reference for future payment-related enquiries.
2.10 Payment Information
FinDeals may receive transaction-related information necessary to confirm and manage a Post Highlight payment.
Sensitive payment authentication information such as card PINs, UPI PINs, banking passwords, or similar credentials should not be provided to FinDeals through ordinary communications.
2.11 Taxes
Applicable taxes or statutory charges, if required by applicable law, may be included in or added to the displayed price.
Any applicable tax information will be presented through the payment process where required.
2.12 No Financial Service
Payment for Post Highlight is a payment for listing visibility only.
It is not a payment for:
- Loan approval;
- Financing;
- Loan arrangement;
- Financial advice;
- A guaranteed lead; or
- Access to another User's private contact information.
2.13 Chapter Summary
The Post Highlight Service is FinDeals' current paid promotional service.
Users may purchase a selected geographic Highlight for ₹199, ₹299, ₹399, or ₹499, corresponding to the applicable 5 km, 15 km, 25 km, or 50 km reach.
Payment is made as a one-time transaction, and the Highlight is activated after successful payment confirmation.
CANCELLATION POLICY
3.1 Purpose
This Chapter explains the rules for cancelling a Post Highlight Service purchased by a User.
3.2 Cancellation Before Activation
If a User requests cancellation before the Post Highlight has been activated, FinDeals may review the request and determine whether cancellation and refund are applicable under Chapter 4.
3.3 Cancellation After Activation
Once a Post Highlight has been successfully activated, the User may request cancellation.
However, cancellation after activation does not automatically create a right to a refund, because the promotional service may already have started being delivered.
Any applicable refund will be determined according to Chapter 4 — Refund Policy.
3.4 Cancellation by FinDeals
FinDeals may cancel, suspend, or remove a Post Highlight where reasonably necessary, including where:
- The listing violates the Terms & Conditions;
- The listing contains prohibited or unlawful content;
- Fraud or misuse is suspected;
- The payment is disputed or unauthorized;
- Technical or security issues require removal; or
- Applicable law or regulatory requirements require action.
3.5 User Listing Removed
If the underlying listing is removed because of a User's violation of the Terms & Conditions, the User will generally not be entitled to a refund for the Highlight, subject to applicable law.
3.6 No Automatic Cancellation
Simply deleting, editing, closing, or changing a financial requirement listing does not automatically cancel a previously purchased Post Highlight.
The User should contact FinDeals if they wish to request cancellation.
3.7 How to Request Cancellation
A cancellation request should be submitted through the official FinDeals support/contact channel.
The User may be asked to provide:
- Registered mobile number;
- Transaction reference;
- Highlight details; and
- Reason for cancellation.
FinDeals may reasonably verify the transaction before processing the request.
3.8 Cancellation Does Not Guarantee Refund
Cancellation and refund are separate matters.
A cancellation request only concerns stopping or removing the Highlight. Whether any amount is refundable will be determined under Chapter 4 — Refund Policy.
3.9 Chapter Summary
Users may request cancellation of a Post Highlight. However, cancellation does not automatically mean a refund, particularly where the Highlight has already been activated or delivered.
REFUND POLICY
4.1 Purpose
This Chapter explains when a User may be eligible for a refund relating to a Post Highlight Service payment.
4.2 General Refund Principle
A refund is not automatic merely because a User requests one.
Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of the payment and whether the Post Highlight Service has already been activated or delivered.
4.3 Eligible Refund Circumstances
Subject to verification, a refund may be considered in circumstances such as:
- Duplicate payment for the same Post Highlight;
- Successful payment but the Highlight was not activated due to a verified FinDeals system error;
- Incorrect amount charged due to a FinDeals billing error;
- A verified technical failure that prevented delivery of the purchased Highlight; or
- An unauthorized transaction that is verified through the applicable payment process.
These circumstances are consistent with the refund situations identified in the existing FinDeals refund framework.
4.4 Highlight Already Activated
If the Post Highlight has already been activated and the service has been delivered or substantially delivered, the payment will generally not be refundable merely because the User changes their mind or no longer wants the promotion.
This is consistent with the existing framework's treatment of promotional services that have already commenced.
4.5 Listing Removed Due to User Violation
If a Post Highlight is removed because the User's listing violates the FinDeals Terms & Conditions or applicable law, the payment will generally not be refundable, subject to applicable law.
4.6 Technical Failure
If a verified FinDeals technical problem prevents the purchased Highlight from being delivered, FinDeals may, depending on the circumstances:
- Restore the Highlight;
- Provide the purchased service again; or
- Issue an appropriate refund.
The existing policy similarly provides for restoration, equivalent service, or refund where a paid service cannot reasonably be delivered because of a verified Platform issue.
4.7 Duplicate Payment
Where a User has been charged more than once for the same Post Highlight because of a verified duplicate transaction, FinDeals may refund the duplicate amount after verifying the transactions.
4.8 Incorrect Billing
If FinDeals identifies an incorrect charge caused by a billing or technical error, the Company may correct the transaction and, where appropriate, issue a refund or adjustment.
4.9 Payment Gateway or Bank Issues
If a payment is unsuccessful, reversed, delayed, or otherwise affected by a bank, payment gateway, card issuer, or other third-party financial institution, the handling of the amount may depend on that provider's transaction and reversal process.
FinDeals will assist with verification where reasonably necessary, but cannot control processing timelines imposed by external financial institutions.
4.10 Refund Request
A User requesting a refund should contact FinDeals through its official support channel.
The User may be asked to provide:
- Registered mobile number;
- Transaction reference;
- Date of payment;
- Amount paid; and
- A brief description of the issue.
Additional information may be requested where reasonably necessary to verify the transaction.
4.11 Refund Review
FinDeals may review:
- Payment records;
- Highlight activation status;
- Listing status;
- Technical logs;
- Transaction references; and
- Other relevant information
before deciding whether a refund is applicable.
4.12 Refund Method
Where a refund is approved, FinDeals will generally process it through the original payment method or through the payment mechanism supported by the applicable payment provider.
The actual time for the amount to appear in the User's account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, or other payment provider.
4.13 No Double Recovery
A User will not be entitled to receive more than the amount actually paid for the affected transaction.
If an amount has already been reversed, refunded, or credited by the payment provider, FinDeals may take that into account when reviewing a subsequent refund request.
4.14 Refunds Required by Law
Nothing in this Policy limits a refund or other remedy that FinDeals is legally required to provide under applicable law.
4.15 Chapter Summary
Refunds are considered based on the circumstances of the transaction.
Duplicate payments, verified billing errors, successful payments without activation, verified technical failures, and verified unauthorized transactions may qualify for a refund.
A Post Highlight that has already been activated or substantially delivered will generally not be refundable merely because the User changes their mind.
EXCEPTIONS, DISPUTES & FINAL LEGAL TERMS
5.1 Purpose
This Chapter sets out the exceptional circumstances, payment disputes, legal requirements, and final provisions applicable to the FinDeals Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5.2 Exceptional Circumstances
FinDeals may consider exceptional payment or refund situations individually where circumstances are not specifically addressed in this Policy.
Any decision will be subject to reasonable verification and applicable law.
5.3 Unauthorized Transactions
If a User believes that a Post Highlight payment was made without their authorization, the User should promptly:
- Contact their bank or payment provider; and
- Inform FinDeals through its official support channel.
FinDeals may request transaction information and cooperate with the payment provider where reasonably necessary to investigate the transaction.
The existing FinDeals framework also recognizes verified unauthorized transactions as a potential refund circumstance.
5.4 Payment Disputes
If a User disputes a Post Highlight payment, FinDeals may review relevant information including:
- Transaction records;
- Payment confirmation;
- Highlight activation records;
- Listing information;
- Technical logs; and
- Communications relating to the transaction.
FinDeals may provide relevant transaction information to the applicable payment provider where reasonably necessary to resolve the dispute.
5.5 Chargebacks
Where a User initiates a chargeback or payment dispute through their bank, card issuer, UPI provider, or payment service provider, FinDeals may participate in the applicable dispute-resolution process.
The Company may provide evidence relating to the payment and delivery of the Post Highlight Service.
A chargeback does not automatically establish that the original payment was invalid or refundable.
5.6 Fraudulent or Abusive Refund Claims
FinDeals may reject or investigate refund requests where there is reasonable evidence of:
- Fraud;
- False information;
- Manipulated payment evidence;
- Repeated abusive refund requests;
- Unauthorized use of another person's payment method; or
- Other misuse of the refund process.
Nothing in this Section limits rights that cannot legally be restricted.
5.7 Pricing or System Errors
If an incorrect price or payment amount is displayed or processed because of a verified technical, configuration, or billing error, FinDeals may take reasonable corrective action.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- Cancelling the affected transaction;
- Correcting the error;
- Refunding an incorrect charge; or
- Allowing the User to make a new purchase at the correct price.
The previous policy similarly permits cancellation and refund where an incorrect price results from software, human, technical, or configuration errors.
5.8 Third-Party Payment Providers
Payments and refunds may involve independent payment gateways, banks, UPI providers, card networks, or other financial institutions.
FinDeals is not responsible for delays caused solely by such third parties where those delays are beyond the Company's reasonable control.
5.9 Records
FinDeals may retain appropriate records relating to:
- Payments;
- Refund requests;
- Refund decisions;
- Reversals;
- Chargebacks;
- Payment disputes; and
- Related communications
for accounting, legal, taxation, fraud-prevention, audit, customer-support, or dispute-resolution purposes in accordance with applicable law.
5.10 No Guarantee of Refund
Submission of a refund request does not guarantee approval.
Refund eligibility will be determined based on:
- This Policy;
- Transaction circumstances;
- Whether the Post Highlight was activated or delivered;
- Available transaction and technical records; and
- Applicable law.
5.11 Limitation to the Affected Payment
Any approved refund or payment adjustment will ordinarily be limited to the amount actually paid for the affected Post Highlight transaction, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
5.12 Applicable Law
This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, subject to any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law.
5.13 Relationship With FinDeals Terms
This Policy should be read together with the FinDeals Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Where a payment, refund, or cancellation matter is specifically governed by this Policy, this Policy will apply to that matter, subject to applicable law.
5.14 Severability
If any provision of this Policy is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a competent authority, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5.15 No Waiver
Failure or delay by SMARTAXIS PRIVATE LIMITED in exercising a right under this Policy does not automatically constitute a waiver of that right.
5.16 Changes to This Policy
SMARTAXIS PRIVATE LIMITED may update this Policy to reflect changes in:
- The Post Highlight Service;
- Payment processes;
- Platform operations;
- Applicable law; or
- Regulatory requirements.
The latest applicable version may be published on the FinDeals Platform.
5.17 Contact for Refund & Cancellation Matters
Users may submit refund, cancellation, or payment-related enquiries through the official FinDeals support/contact details published on the Platform.
Users should provide sufficient transaction information to enable FinDeals to identify and review the relevant payment.
5.18 Final Provision
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to the current FinDeals paid Post Highlight Service.
Nothing in this Policy should be interpreted as creating a membership, subscription, credit, wallet, paid contact-access, or paid lead service that is not actually offered by FinDeals.
5.19 Final Policy Summary
FinDeals aims to handle genuine payment issues fairly while protecting the Platform against fraudulent or abusive refund claims.
Refunds and cancellations are governed by the circumstances of the individual transaction, the delivery status of the Post Highlight Service, this Policy, and applicable law.
